Adult: 12.0 mm in length from head to tip of abdomen; wingspan of 15–20 mm. Labial palps are long and strongly curved upwards. Head and thorax with white scales. The forewings are cream-coloured and heavily speckled with dark brown scales.
Life Cycle

The eggs are laid in commodities.The larvae feed externally and may create irregular holes into attacked commodities. They produce silk webbing as they feed and pupate. The adults are short-lived, fly, and do not feed on commodity.
