Bees

Bees are insects that are related to wasps and ants, as they all belong to the same insect order, Hymenoptera. Bees are known for their role as pollinators in the environment, and in the case honey bees, for making beeswax and honey. Despite being beneficial insects, sometimes they can be a nuisance when they settle in and around houses. If an apiarist is available, killing the bee hive can be avoided, but such as situation should be death with as soon as possible.

Solitary Bee Life Cycle

Most bee species are solitary bees. Some species like carpenter bees, mason bees, and blue-banded bees live their lives very differently from social bees. Because, solitary bees do not form colonies, the adult females live independently and carry out all the on their own. Depending on the species, a solitary female may make its nest underground, in rock crevices, holes in dead wood, or in artificial structures like walls and bee hotels.

The main purpose of adult solitary male bees is to mate. They sleep in flowers during the night while competing for mating with nearby females.

All solitary bees only live for about a year, spending only three to eight weeks as adults
