Identification
Alate: Length with wings 9.50–12.56 mm; length without wings 4.35-8.53 mm.
- Head colour is reddish orange, brownish orange, or brown
- Head sutures are indistinct; only the posterior half of the medial suture is visible
- Pronotum sometimes lighter than head; orange-yellow to brownish orange.
- Tergites are the same colour as pronotum
- Pronotum slightly narrower than head, about twice as wide as long
- Posterior margins of meso- and metanotum are slightly concave
Soldier: 4.50–9.98 in length
- Head with frons sloping to the bas of the mandibles at a 35-42° angle
- Eyes present but unsclerotized
- Ocelli may be present but indistinct, well separated from the eye
- Pronotum a bit narrower than the head, twice as wide as long
