Harvestmen

Harvestment, also known as daddy-longlegs, belong to the order Opiliones. At first glance, one might misidentify them as spiders because they are superficially similar, but the two are not even closely related. Harvestmen can easily be distinguished from long-legged spiders by the lack of constriction between the cephalothorax and the abdomen and their single pair of eyes in the middle of the cephalothorax.

Harvestmen are not of any economical or medical importance. They do not bite nor cause damage to structures when they are found clustering indoors. They are predators of small insects and arthropods.
