Identification
Adults are 1-2 mm and globular in shape. They vary in colour; wings vary from tiny knobs to membranouse and fully functional.

Life Cycle
The optimum conditions for development are 22–26℃ and 80% relative humidity. The females lay eggs on commodities. Adults and nymphs eat the commodity, and produce silken webbing. Though winged, only some adults can fly.
Commodities attacked
Dried material of plant and animal origin, especially if slightly damp.
Economic Importance
Low, and presence indicates poor storage conditions.
