Identification

Adults are 2-.0–2.5 mm long and brown to light brown in colour. It can be distinguished from other grain beetles by its knob-like projections on each corner of its pronotum, and its club-like antennae.

Life cycle can be completed in 23 days at 27℃ and 75% relative humidity.

Commodities attacked

Cereals, grains, dried plant-based raw materials, mould, fungi, and yeast. 

Economic Importance

Minor economic importance, as itonly attacks to moist grain products.
